CHLORIS IMMORTAL Collection
“The Love which is made perfect by Death”
- from The Nightingale and the Rose by Oscar Wilde
... and the Death is also perfected by Love.
By the act of death, the spirit of the flower leaves their ephemeral petals to incarnate into the photographic paper and becomes immortal.
In this lumen printing process when the flowers create the image of them-selves, the sun, the heat, the humidity, and the essence of each flower are unpredictably combined. Therefore, each embodiment is unique.
The light sensitive chemical that takes in all the flower’s soul is Silver Chloride. Is it a coincidence or it was decided three millenniums ago by the Greek Goddess of Flower named Chloris?
