"When I was younger, I really liked drawing, with passion but without much conviction. For a long time I prevented myself from persevering in this field, not considering myself particularly gifted.
But in recent years, I have reconnected with art by approaching the following philosophy: talent is not innate, it is built with perseverance and work. It is the journey that matters, not the destination. It is therefore with this in mind that I move forward in my practice!
Painting is like going on an adventure. This allows me to open the walls of my little room which serves as my workshop, towards a world which is up to me to explore. For long hours, I think about colors, shapes, brushstrokes. I oscillate between several emotional stages as the painting takes shape: frustration, satisfaction, impatience, joy and inner questions.
I want to confront the limits of the possible, I want to continue searching. I would like to be able to provide the viewer/collector with a parenthesis in their life, a moment of breathing and contemplation. I am currently working on painting series that aim to go beyond portraits or landscapes. Let's see where this takes me..."
