Sukyee Cho

Sukyee Cho was born in Seoul in 1978. She obtained her doctoral degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in South Korea.

Sukyee's artwork consistently showcases feminine qualities, magical narratives, and the theme of solitude. The delicacy of her art is emphasized through her skilled use of watercolor on silk, a technique that further enhances the thematic elements of her work.

As a Korean artist, Sukyee also had the opportunity to study in Beijing as an exchange student, which influenced her artistic style. While her art bears traces of Chinese traditional art, she transforms it into something distinctively her own. Her focus lies in conveying her emotions through imagery reminiscent of fairy tales, allowing us to experience art in its purest and most childlike form.
